BODY & HEAD DESIGN CONSTRUCTION:

• Built, sculpted, fabricated & constructed completely out of fiberglass and foam (Head) for lightweight functionality. Rare Earth Magnets for head-spinning, static stability, and movement outside of Body Sphere

HEAD (interior electronic components):

• Head designed & constructed with exterior LED spotlight through glass (static white, Static red spotlight, and flashing red spotlight)

• Interior Microsoft 'EYE' 720p HD USB web camera viewing through phone for RC guidance

• Interior Bluetooth voice speaker with a custom-built speaker housing

PAINT:

• Custom designed paint-scheme (based off accessible movie still frames and templates)

• Embedded silver metal foil leaf for weathered wear authentic look

• Custom hand/Dremel die-cutting and sculpting embossing and relief for authentic droid metal paneling look

BODY, DRIVE, AND APPARATUS:

• Custom designed and built droid inner drive apparatus and custom-designed interior body Aluminum Indo-skeleton.

• Arduino UNO electronic micro board with Pololulu Motor Drive Shield, numerous servos for head-spinning control, with 12-volt (rechargeable) battery-powered, with Arduino Bluetooth (BB8 movie quotes) via Android phone Radio and voice control.

 

• *Note - Ran into a few issues with Pololulu Motor Drive shield powering, and  currently re-working  internal drive apparatus power design to be more durable and more intuitive
